I purchases the 150 FEQ sander a couple months ago. I have been very pleased with it, however, every now and then I've noticed swirl marks on the material that was sanded. I have tried adjusting the sanding speed when in agressive mode and then go to the less agressive mode with the same grit. Generally, I sand the panel with my drum sander to 150 grit, then use the 150 to take out the drum sander marks. With the 150 FEQ, I start with 150 grit and finish with 180 grit. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

Why do you even need to use the aggressive mode to begin with? Try go right to the orbital mode after your piece comes out of the drum sander. Just a thought...

Add me in too. I find the rotary mode is most useful for material removal only, or polishing. With really aggressive grits, like 24 or 36, you can leave some very deep swirls. I know you aren't talking that type of grit but any swirls made take much more time and effort to remove than to create. If you are flat when you start it is best to stay in random orbit mode.
