Hi, New to forum, have owned several Festools over the years and I am still in awe of them. I am looking for advice on the RO150FEQ.  My sanding pad broke and I got a replacement but can not get the old one off.  I tried everything the directions said but no results.  Any advice?

I also struggled a great deal trying to get the old one off.  You're probably already doing this, but make sure the sander is in aggressive mode so the pad locks.  I think I needed to push down hard on the pad while simultaneously turning as hard as I could to get the pad off.  It was really really hard for me to get it off and I was very winded after.  It doesn't help that I'm a relatively small guy - 5'5" with small hands so it was hard for me to really get a good grip on the pad.  I only changed the pad once (back in November 2017 so I don't remember exactly what I did) and pray that I don't have to do it again.  I believe it was a little bit easier to put the new pad on.

Hopefully a more experienced person can provide some better advice/assistance.

The pads are a bear to remove and install.  I just replaced mine and it was a struggle.  I lift at the Y and regularly install 100+ lb doors and install insulated glass units that also push that weight, I much prefer the ETS' with their screw attachment...my 12v impact makes that a piece of cake.  After I finally got the old one off, I almost took a file to the new one to install but grunted hard enough to get it on.  After that I took the new pad on/off a couple times hoping that will make it easier to change.
