RO90 Paper Needs

Hello,
I just picked up a RO90 from the recon sale and am having an incredibly hard time deciding on what paper I should buy for it.  I want to have the same papers for the delta pad as well as the round pad. I sand mostly bare wood and plywood (I bought the RO90 to act as a delta sander as well as just getting to smaller, harder to reach spots than my ETS 150/3 can).  Should I purchase Rubin 2? Should I purchase Brilliant 2? Most of my ETS paper is brilliant with rubin for just the lower grits, so should I match the grits/papers to that of the ETS?  I'm just trying to purchase what would be best for my needs based on what I do and what I already have in my shop to match with the RO90.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I went entirely Granat and the storage systainer. I'm happy with my choice.

I got 40 - 80 - 120 - 220 grits and in retrospect I would now skip the 40 and replace it with maybe 60 or just not get anything under 80. I stripped an old table of its lacquer with the 40 grit paper in Rotex-mode and it made the sander almost unmanageable - grips and jumps all around unless you hold hard with both hands and getting rid of the scratch pattern is a pita - would need a 60 intermediate step to make it quicker.

80+ is a lot smoother run altogether and removes material quickly in rotex mode.

The paper lasts forever when used properly with dust collection - I think I've gone through two papers of each grit during sanding a whole table with legs and most of the papers were damaged in corners - not lost their grit.

Hey,  the FOG member nanook is offering up a pretty cool deal in the classifieds

http://festoolownersgroup.com/classifieds/fs-granat-sampler-for-ro90/

I only use granat with my ro90 and it preforms great on every surface I've thrown at it from bare wood to painted, oil and latex

Nanook AKA Rob, is a really good guy.. I have sent him a few inquiries about his sampler and he is willing to work with me (filling in the grit range a bit more on the low end)

Can't deny that his deal is a great way to outfit your ro90 with a full grit range without spending a fortune and being stuck with a thousand sheets of paper

John

I haven't tried anything but granat on wood, it's worked very well. If a sampler ever came available for other papers I'll probably give them a shot to compare but for now granat is getting it done and has been very long lasting.

John, that's exactly why I'm posting this. I've been in contact with Rob about his paper but when I bought the RO90 from Bob Marino he suggested to go with Rubin which is where all my confusion is coming from :/

If you guys swear by the Granat on the RO90 then I suppose I should just go ahead and purchase from Rob as it'd save me some money and ill be in Toronto in early July so I can save on shipping.
