RO90 with delta pad that I cannot remove

My RO90 that I have owned for a couple of years now and never had the need for the delta pad until recently... And now I cannot get the delta pad released.  I set the mode dial to the arrow position, and I slide the green lever on the delta and rotate the delta clockwise to the unlocked icon. And nothing happens...
The directions are useless for removing the delta pad. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

To remove the Delta pad, you push in the green lever on the delta piece and turn counter-clockwise (towards the unlock icon).  The goal is to get the little arrow next to the lock icon to line up with the little arrow on the bottom of the Rotex unit itself.

It was pretty tight when I tried it just now, but it worked when I turned it counter-clockwise.

The pictographs on the bottom of the unit (if they're still there) are slightly more helpful than the icons on the delta pad itself, but not by much.

Yes, counter-clockwise. They call it anti-clockwise in some places. UK maybe?
