Festool from start to finish, except for a hammer and some rags:

More at my personal pages on building the Rocking Horse.

Learned a lot. Won't try to use the 6" jigsaw blade to cut compound curves through two 2x12 fir pieces clamped together again, or if I do I won't use the rocker blade action and will be more careful so that the parts end up the same size, although what I'll probably do is build some patterns and use a bearing bit to get the final size right, rather than 80 grit sandpaper in my 150/5.

Hi Dan,

Nice work, looks very cool. Nice photo of the countyside as well.I've been fortunate to visit Marin County a few times, had a great time at the Marin County fair. peace dan

I've got a nephew who's about a year and a half old that'll grow into this.

We're heading up through Oregon to Portland this weekend to go drop it off. Given that he's still pretty small, I'll probably also have to cobble together some stirrups when we get there.
