I've been making this 1/8 scale model of a 1932 Rolls Royce Phantom II for the last four months. Not a lot of woodwork involved but I did make the dashboard out of some birds eye maple veneer!

It was quite a lot of fun to build but now the winter is over, I need to get back to the big-scale stuff now and make some dust!

WOW, that's a lot of detail! Was that a kit or is it all from scratch. Very impressive regardless.

Thanks, it's based on an old kit from the 1970s long out of production, but I scratch-built much of it and added loads of details.

It looks as though I could start it up and drive away, stunning. I'd hate to cover it up with a body... [eek]

Thanks all, yes it is based on a Pocher model kit.

This is my third model, but unlike the other two I am deciding to leave this one as a chassis-only model. Like Ewlis said, it's a shame to cover all the detail up.

As others have said RL a great result and testimony to your detailed crafting.

I was also intrigued by your workshop. Could we please have some photos in the Vans and Workshop section of the FOG?
