First job i have done with cedar, quite liked it, nice and light easy to cut but easy to mark too. It doesnt like pva glue as i found so i use pu. Almost all secret fixed

I like cedar too, problem is i'm allergic to the dust. wont kill me or nothing just get a nasty rash

The distant picture shot from some one else's garden on top of their shed? lol

no its on way to shop stood on ledge of lamp post and young lad tied my laces together when i took it the little...

How did u fix the soffit it again on the gable end?    I had a call to day of the builder nagging me to get back on his job  gotta do the cedar soffit on that told him im not doing it untill scaffolding is down!  1. By me more time! 2. not working on my back rather stand on a crate and work from the ground.    Just not made up my mind yet on how to fix the soffit!  I do have loads of stainless nails and was planning on just secrete nailing it same as the cladding on the wall.

vt9 as that was specced, vt10 would have been better for water but the plastic roof trim overhangs so should see much water really.

The purlins and ridge were nice too as they were really straight at 6m long. First time i have used douglas fir on a job too

Also the entire roof is screwed using Eurotec flange head structural srcews which i highly recomend, thing i used 250 on this job

250 jezus!   You only need two per rafter you know lol not 10  [tongue]

I love them screws  even though I use a different brand to yours same screws still!      I only use them screws to fit roofs now no crappy nails dovetailing    these screws makes that method look CRAP!    They are by FAR  the best way to fix a roof no two ways about it!

yeah 250 dude. there is 1 in bottom of each rafter and 4 in the middle( 2 into each piece) and 2 at top of each to take twist out
