How would I know if the brushes in my ROTEX 150 need replacing?  Would the sander just stop running?

Jason, yes the tool will stop working. Festool uses auto stop brushes, these brushes has a spring loaded insulator that breaks through the worn brush, this moves the brush away from the armature breaking the power supply stopping the tool to prevent damage from the worn out brush(s).

Brice,

Thanks for confirming that.  Thats really impressive that Festool has that feature.  See, you learn something new everyday.

Jason,  Sorry for the incorrect information.  I should have investigated it more but I didn't think Festool used this technology.

And people think Festool is expensive.  Dave, I almost agree with you; around here, you learn several things every day.

Good to know.  Thanks, Brice!
