Hi Guys,
I thought I'd post a couple of images of a project I'm working on to get your collective opinions.
I'm heavily into router work and am trying to push the boundaries to see how far you can go with my two favourite tools , the OF 1010 router and the Festool MFS system.
The piece shown here is a prototype of a gothic septafoil which I made in my workshop over let last few weekends. It's cut from a sheet of 3/4 inch MDF and was made using the OF1010, MFS 400 & 700 coupled with my trusty CT17 extractor. When I'm doing prototype of this style I'll usually use MDF as it's cheap and easy to work with. The next version will be in a hardwood of some description.
The ultimate aim is to produce a how to book to show woodies how to make this style of work
Hope you like it
Cheers
Bryan
