I am trying to find router bits (1/4" shank) that will cut mortises for Domino tenons.  I am looking for 6mm, 8mm, 10mm cutting diameter.  I am having trouble finding metric cutters with an imperial shank.  Some suppliers are advertising metric cutters, but when I call and talk to them, it turns out that the bits are actually imperial size that is close, but not exactly metric.
I am very happy with my shop made mortiser and I really don't want to switch out router collets every time I want to cut a mortise.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Might also consider buying metric collets, depending on the router you have. Elaire makes a lot of options.

I sometimes buy metric bits from Axminsters, great service and fast shipping, free over $120 in the US.

Good thought process Richard...if the collet is changed to a metric diameter, then the bit selection goes from 2 to 72.

Yea I love toolstoday. Great selection and since they are just north of me I often get next day delivery.

You'll find all 4 cutters you mentioned with quarter-inch shanks right here;

I have no idea if Trend have representation in North America, but I do know for a fact that they've shipped cutters to buddy of mine in Minneapolis. The quality's high and the prices are reasonable.

I have mentioned that before. Trend has a very minimal presence here in the US. You can get things shipped, it not that they are restricted, but it has to be planned out.

I did just receive the 5mm Whiteside today. This was because of a project mentioned earlier.
