Router Collet Question....

When I purchased my OF1400, I purchased a "Used" OF1400, It was actually New since the previous owner never used it. The cord had never been unwrapped and it was in pristine condition, but it was in a classic systainer. It had a 1/2" Collet and an 8mm Collet in the Sys. So I purchased a New 1/4" Collet which is now the same type used on the OF2200. They are wider than the older collets, which they seem not to carry any more. And the wider collet does not go completely into my upper dust shroud on the my OF1400. Have they updated the shrouds to accommodate the larger collet size used? I don't want to purchase a new shroud if it will be the same as the one I own.  In the attached image you can see how large to newer collets are compared to the older.

I guess no one could answer this so I went out to my local dealer, who just happened to get a new OF1400 which had the larger Collet size and the upper Dust shroud has a larger opening to allow the collet to pass through it. I just ordered a replacement to update my old shroud. I keep the old on as a back up.
