Router edge guide: recommendations?

As a follow up to a post on how to cut consistent dadoes and rabbets on the MFT3 table, I would like know users' experience with the Festool router edge guide:

I plan to route dadoes and rabbets in cabinets (for drawers and for the backs of cabinets). Maybe this accessory would be helpful?

Personally, if someone is going to use a router away from a table, then an edge guide is pretty much an essential tool to have in the toolbox.  It works like any other edge guide but of course made for the 1400.  I have had good luck with dust collection with mine.

Later on if you have one of these and decide that you need a  centered or referenced mortise then a second one of these and replacing the guide rods with even longer rods if needed gets you a slick way to do the mortises.
