Router Gauge Block

I build cabinets with routed housings on every joint, so I needed a quick and accurate way to set the router up for distance from rail, this block marked OF1010 that fits between the router base and router guide rail component makes it dead simple. Now I am EXACTLY 10mm from the splinter-guard every time. The cutout in the fence enables me to quickly set the router height to 3mm by plunging until it stops against it.

Thank you for the free sample you supplied for review.
Delivery was very fast and it came attractively packaged. The bottle of Whisky was most welcome and didn't affect my decision to give your product five stars.

Oops! Wrong forum.

As discussed off-line – a set of calibrated blocks is a practical (cheap) alternative to the micro-adjustification accessory and requires far less plonking around and uncertainty than the infinitely adjustable widget. Less to go wrong, more chance of everything going right.

One for each usual cutter to bring the "fence" edge of the cutter to the same distance from the rail's splinter guard would be a good start.

A matched pair of these ( or if you want to be really slick, a double-dimensioned block that can go 90° or upside down, depending on design for the second cut ) means that 18.5mm laminated board can have a d-d-d... housing cut with an 18mm cutter. Or any other undersize cutter I suppose.

I want a set, colour-coded, mounted on a thong like worry beads.

Meanwhile the review sample works brilliantly. I was going to make a version of Peter P's excellent offset gauge but having tried this, I don't think I'll bother.
