Hi folks,I need a new middle paper sander 80 to 180. I don't do any aggressive sanding. Hand planes and card scrapers are my theropy .  I don't want ets 150/3 because the ets 125 handles my gentle work. I sand mostly flat surfaces but I don't want a sander with limited use. I'm between the ETS 150/5 and the RS 2 E...Any input would be greatly appreciated .    Thanks

Between those two for what you describe I'd go with the ETS150/5. It is a very versatile sander. It can handle a wide range of grits and tasks and that 80 to 180 grit range is right in the heart of its zone. For several years it was the only sander I had and with a broad range of grits and the addition of hard pad and super soft pads it did everything from stripping to high grit finish sanding quite well.

Plus 1 on what Seth posted. I own both of those sanders and I still turn to the 150/5 for General Sanding because it's so smooth and controllable.
