I am looking to polish up a lacquer and a poly finish on some tables using pumus and rubican(sp).  Does anyone us a ets 150/5 or  /3 to do this if so what pad do you use and is tere any trick to it or am I better off doing it by hand?

I was more than satisfied using my RO125 with the lamb's wool pad for applying and buffing carnuba wax on poly.  Beautiful sheen and warm to the touch (as opposed to a plastic feel).

Mr. PG, is that a pre-cat laquer, and what type of urethane?

I have been quite successful using Titan Paper with a 150/3 going in succession from 500g to 1500g to develop a nice shine (make sure your vac is on the turtle); then the Rotex with McQuires Car Polishing compound and a sponge application pad then proceeding to use soft felt pad to hard felt with .  The trick is to really let that Laq or Urethane cure for a SEVERAL DAYS...the longer the better! If you can hold out for a week or two, that would be ideal.
