rustic hickory head board

Just made this today for my bed... it is out of rustic hickory and walnut post.. the post I used the 850 planer again to undulate the wood.

if your lumber company carries rustic hickory you need to check it out I have been making all sorts of table tops, picture frames and this headboard out of it and it really looks cool

Nice. I really lke the way the walnut post accent the hickory.  I recently built a kitchen out of Rustic hickory. I loved the way the knots and grain popped.

Good job buddy and keep on posting. I really like seeing your work.

I picked up a 850 and Im guessing that head is worth the $$. So Ill be getting one of those soon too.

thanks and yep you have to get the undulating head and it is well worth the $150 or so... 

and rustic hickory is awesome wood... sometimes you have to pick through the pile, in fact all the time you have to pick through the pile to get awesome pieces..

I have 2 suppliers that I get my hardwoods from. When i have a pecan/hickory project, I spend a lot of time going through the stack at one then drive over to the other..

But I like your head board, Its well worth the time and effort.
