Sanding Discs Less $ Alternative?

[member=69291]Bigred30[/member] I just ordered from Klingspor. They make discs for Festool sanders and are known for making quality discs. They are way cheaper than Festool branded discs. The box will say FESTO on it. For the 6" sanders make sure you get the correct hole pattern as there are two versions as Festool added more holes recently. 5" you want the 9 hole. According to their support team, PS33 = Brilliant 2, PS36 = Granat, PS29 = Rubin.

The AZ-Plus blue discs are their PS36. It's a bit confusing online since they don't list the PS# but if you look at the image and the back of the disc is shown it will say which it is.

For example, from that link it looks like that disc fits the old style 6" hole pattern. In the description: "Fits all Festool RO150 Sanders."

Whereas the Multijetstream 2 can be found here:

They have a link for Specific Sanders on the left drop down for the ETS/RO 125 but it doesn't include the Klingspor variants. For those you have to go to 5" x 9 hole abrasive discs https://www.woodworkingshop.com/category.aspx?id=21&f1=5%22+X+9+HOLE

and if you click on one of the discs available in the description it says: "Fits 5" Festool sander."

I hope this helps!

[member=69291]Bigred30[/member] PM me and let me know what you're looking for and whether you want multijetstream 2 or the original will suffice.  I can put together a small assortment to get you started if you like.

I think Bob Marino used to offer assortments as well, I'm not sure whether Beaver Industrial will continue to offer that, but maybe [member=67735]Alan Crook[/member] might be able to chime in?
