Aloha
I bought a RO 150 sander and kit.Love it but don't use it all the time ,I store it in the systainer and went to use it recently and when I took it out the pad had disentergrated but I had a spare one I bought with sander.I got that out from the systainer I keep all disc ,buffer pads and it looked good till I removed it from factory plastic container and it too was no good .I bought a spare so I wouldn't have this problem but...This is the first problem I ever had with Festools ever except(retarded sales people in Hawaii)and the store didn't even try too make some type of conpensation.I work in the film and stage industry (IATSE Local 665) and have most of your tools over 20,000 dollars worth so hope you see my discontent
Called Festools they were so heipful sending new pad better service than local dealer  Can't beat That

First let say  [welcome] to FOG.
I would suggest a call to Festool Service with this issue, I am betting they can help you out for sure

x2 on both things Sal said:

1. [welcome] to the FOG, and

2. Call Festool Customer Service and explain what happened. I'm sure they'll help you out.

And finally, $30,000 worth of Festool and this is your first post here? Amazing...

How old is the sanding pad?  3 years, 5 years,?  should hold up, but maybe you have a level of heat and humidity that affects the pads in a way that the rest of us can't fully understand since we get years of service from the sanding pads we use. I just changed the soft/standard pad on my ETS 150/5 after 10 years of service.
This will be interesting.
I know we have some other Hawaii users out there, maybe they can add to your issue with their experiences.
Something is going on ,that's for sure.
Do you use a vacuum or extractor with your RO150 each time you're running it?
