Sanding windsor chair seat w/RO 90?

I have a RO 90 on the way and hope to use it to sand a windsor chair seat.  I will rough out the windsor seat using a grinder with cutzall type discs and flapper sanding discs.  Then plan to finish sand it with the RO 90.

I make the assumption I need some interface discs for the RO 90 since the seat is sculpted and profiled.

Any experience with this would be much appreciated.

I use the Ras and RO 90 with interface pad for making wood sculptures and it works great.  The interface pad is a must when dealing with concave or uneven surfaces.

I've made dozens of Windsors, and sanded most of the seats (not the flat decks or the edges or the bottoms) with the RO 90 or its predecessor, a 90mm Metabo. I used a soft interface pad.  I refer to it as my "electric travisher."

Go for it.
