Last week I finished a couple coffee table tops (oak) and revisited one of the tops today. I used my RO 150 with the typical 60 80 120 and 220 when working last week. The 220 finishing paper was Brilliant. I was very satisfied with the results but there was one pesky place that I worked on today with my new RO 90 (delta mode 1st @80) then worked my way up using the paper that came with the sander (Granat) in RO mode. There is clearly a difference evident in where I just finished and the rest of the table. The final paper grit was 220 both times. Should I expect the results to be the same between Granat 220 and Brilliant 220? Perhaps the difference was in the technique and the lighter weight RO 90?
