Sashes and such

It was pretty late in my life when I encountered exterior-hung storms, and now I love them, especially on houses where it's period-appropriate.  I love the olive green with the off-whiteish-yellow!

Got to protect those window sashes. Best practice is to have two sets, screens and storms.  Keep good storms on a house and the windows will last forever.

I wondered how that overhang was going to be handled. Thanks for the start to finish look at such a great looking project.

I suck.  Made it back just in time for 90 degree+ weather.

Millwork above side windows finished, old galvanized roofing installed, ceiling finished, paint touched up, cleaned the glass.  More done, more to do.

Nice work Darcy...those windows are gorgeous. I didn't realize Sapele was readily available.

Great to see the update. That looks fantastic. I really like the brackets, the chamfer details and the carved ends.

Outside work, new trim made, windows glazed, siding stripped, repairs made, new batten strips made, air seal, repair, prep, paint.  The painting part is easy.

More parts to install

Almost got one end done.

Make parts for this and a couple other projects over the winter and then repeat.
