Has anyone been able to compare these two offerings? I do not need battery power. But, am interested in portability and efficient storage. Thanks for any help.

Never compared them, but the Festool saw is uber portable and uber packable to another level. And it's also a mini-slider which brings some great material handling along for the ride.

Compared them side by side last fall and ended up purchasing the Festool and I did not need battery power either.  Neither are perfect IMO but, the Festool is much more portable, stores much better, and is much better quality than the Sawstop compact.  The Festool does cost quite a bit more though.

Bought the SawStop and then the Festool after I saw it. Battery solution is not ideal, but way more portable due to the cart and the lesser weight of the Festool.

The fence on the SawStop is crap compared the geared offerings by Dewalt, Milwaukee and others. The CSC would be over the top if it had that style instead of the standard slide. Obviously not possible on the CSC due to the folding wing. I would buy this saw again.

I have both. Two different animals.
The Sawstop compact is ok. Geared fence is much better than the bigger "mobile" version (owned, sold to buy the compact). The lock for the fence is super tight on mine. Everything else is ok and does it's job.
The Festool tablesaw is very enjoyable to use with the exception of the fence which is mushy and fiddly to adjust accurately. Huge fail there, but I find the other features overshadow that fault.  Batteries are mostly non issue, but I have extras.
All that being said,  I am willing to set up and leave the Sawstop on a new construction site and will not do that with the much more expensive to replace Festool. I have an upcoming week on a 32nd floor remodel finish which the Festool will be a boon for.
In summation, the Sawstop compact is a decent all around workhouse, the Festool is a excellent swiss army style tablesaw with one flaw that can be overcome with diligence.
