Sawstop inserts

I just picked up my new sawstop 3hp pcs and put together and tweaked everything up on it.
The one thing that puzzles me is that blade insert is pre cut from factory but isn't centred to the blade of my saw. I could file the one side down with a file but wasn't sure if anyone else has had this issue. The table itself pivots from the front and can adjust from the back to line up the blade to mitre slots but don't think there is play in the pilot to move the whole table over to one side. If doesn't rub but sometimes when it fires up it sounds like it ticks the edge and has a few small chips that came on the insert from that side of the blade. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same saw and it lined up perfect. I would contact sawstop and ask for a new insert. If they let you keep the old one use it for a dado blade.

My Industrial Sawstop came with the insert uncut. There is a detailed instruction list on cutting the opening in the manual. Not following the instructions could be dangerous, especially if making a bevel cut.

I have one insert that I use only for 90 degree zero clearance cuts and another I use for bevel cuts.

My Industrial Sawstop insert shows about 1.5" of insert to the left of the blade and about 2.75" to the right of the blade as I face the saw. The table came out of the box perfectly squared up.

It was set up by a team of guys who set up several Sawstop saws each week.

Hey guys another newbie here. One thing I know about well is the Sawstops. We have 13 of them at work. So not sure if your aware that the table insert, if hit by the blade, saying its a blank insert for a zero clearance or a dado blade, will set of the cartridge and possibly ruin your blades. I've had it happen, only once fortunately. Use the key to turn the system off to cut through them.
  Not sure if your aware, but a trick to see if the material you'll be cutting will set it off, just hold the piece against the blade before you start, and see if the lights blink, if not your safe.
