Schneider SysMaster SYM 150-8-6 WXOF

Prebena still has their offering in the old style systainer

Amazon.de

Price is somewhat higher, more output, less noise (75dB), more weight (23,5kg vs 13 kg), smaller tank (2L vs 6L)

It is cheaper from their UK site, but I do not want classic sustainer combo. most of my stuff is in T-lock's apart from my chisels and sharpening gear in a Classic SYS 1 and 3 Sortainers. There is also element of speck that i do not like. For example it has 2 ltr tank instead of 6 ltr in the Schneider, Ok Schneider is louder but will come on allot less often in comparison to Prebena, meaning it'll generate allot more noise over a period of say 2 hour nailing, etc.

So to conclude without offending anyone, its a NO.

Thank you for your contribution tho.

Best regards

EV

Resurrecting and old thread here and just wondering if you or anybody else bought the schneider sysmaster? I'm about to take the plounge on one and wanted to order a systainer in the same colour to hold my nail guns. My question is what colour is the darn thing? Is it anthracite or Black? I've compared using the tanos website but I still can't figure it out!!

Many thanks

Hi,

Personally I haven't purchased one yet but looking in to it. Just need to get my job transfer out of the way first. I belive the systainer is anthracite rather than black.

Let us know what you think of it if you do end up getting one.

Anyone here done the senco in a tloc job. Just bought a pc1010 and I have a spare sys4. By the looks of it you just need to cut off the handle.

Would like to hear from someone who's done it and how its been long term.

Hi Ev

Ok thanks, I was siding on the anthracite side as well so I'll go for that to see how it works out, worst comes to the worst the spare systainer won't go to waste, I'll find a job for it.

I will do regards the compressor. Have read comments about people saying it's very loud but having watched a few videos on YouTube im inclined to believe it's not that bad, certainly not compared to what I've been used to!

Morning William,

I am currently watching one on eBay at £282 + £11.99 shipping by to UK from Germany. It seem to be the best price I can find at the moment.  Here is eBay item number in case you would like to have a look 190846812994

EV.

Hi Ev

Yes that's the one I have my eye on as well, thanks for the recommendation. As a side note neeleman replied to a separate post this morning in which he highlighted an identical compressor only in the senco colours. Warren from Toolfest spotted it and said he was going to check availability of it as he stocks senco so I'm now waiting to hear how that unfolds. Price permitting Id rather purchase of a uk dealer.

I did a google image search. It is a tough call on the color. But in pictures that show it in the real world with other objects and people wearing what look like black shirts .......  the Systainer appears to be Anthracite.

Hi Seth

Thanks for the input, it's a tough one to call as in different photos it looks a different shade.

Has anybody managed to get price on Senco version?

Regards

EV

No price on the senco one as yet but I don't think it will be any cheaper than the Schneider version. I took a rush of blood to the head a few weekends back wile I was still laying in bed and bought the sysmaster set from gerschwitz, and a couple of pin guns also  [big grin]

If you have a chanse to compare the Schneider to a Senco 1010 noise wise I would be interested in hearing your opinion on is the 68 vs 90dB rating real or marketing decibels one way or the other...

I've got the Senco one myself and its quite quiet, but don't feel comfortable to grind off the handle to fit it into a systainer and thinking about the Scheiner one as an option, but being put off with the loud rating of it.

Very nice set.  [cool]

Also curious about the noise, and about a question that came up in this thread before: are the systainers black or anthracite?

You can just take the feet off and it drops into a sys 5 on its back.

I don't have or know anyone with a senco 1010 to compare with but I will take a video and a decibel reading when I get it set up either tomorrow or Monday.

Regarding the colour it is anthracite.

I only have one problem and that is the Bostitch nailer came with a 1/4 npt fitting and won't connect to my airline. What do I need to get to make it work, 3/8 npt or 3/8 bsp? I bought it from America on amazon.com so I'm assuming 3/8 npt? There are so many different fittings and it is confusing me, not that that is hard to do anyway haha. The grex pin gun I got from Rutlands fits no problem and if I measure the end of the fitting on it it is 3/8. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Morning. So the top systainer holds hose only and the kit you bought from Gerschwitz also includes a sys-cart. Is there anything else in the kit? Can you tell us little more about the Bostitch Brad Gun? It's Functions and what it did cost to get it from the states?

Regards

EV

The kit i bought with the compressor came with a roll board and a sys2 inside which was the hose and a blow gun. My main reason for opting for this set was to get the colour coded sys2 and the air hose as i wanted to keep my hose and guns with the compressor in as small a setup as possible, and also because i knew for sure the hose would work with the compressor. I don't know an awful lot about airline connections so i just played it safe.

Heres a link to the exact spot i bought it from - http://www.gerschwitz.net/schneider-druckluft/mobile-kompressoren/schneider-systainer-kompressor-sysmaster-150-8-6-wxof-set-universal-i800025.html

If you use google chrome to open that link there will be a pop up at the top of the screen which will translate everything for you, its the only reason i knew what i was doing!

As for the bostitch nail gun i opted for it because of the much smaller nose of the gun and for the fact you don't have to press it into the surface of the work, i would do an awful lot of small beading and both these features appealed to me. I was for buying the grex 18g brad nailer until i came across this bostitch one and i thought i would give it a try. I bought it off amazon.com and all in it cost around 130euro or about £97
