Schneider SysMaster SYM 150-8-6 WXOF

Trouble with the US bostitch stuff is the thread on the gun is npt. Ok if you have the same quick fitting on your hose .

I just bought a bostitch hose off amazon.com and I've cut off the threaded ends, just need to get some bsp ones fitted now

On bostitch uk website this smart point nailer is shown but i cant find any uk stockist that actually sells them.

Did the £97 price include postage and customs and taxs etc, as i have never ordered from amazom.com only.

You can get npt to bsp adaptors. Just google it as i dont know how to add a link.

I seen it on Bostitch uk also but as you said I couldn't find anywhere to purchase it either.

Yes £97 was postage and customs included, Amazon calculates customs at the time of order so you pay for everything in one transaction.

I finally found an adaptor that I think will work, ordered it this afternoon so hopefully that's sorted when it gets here.

Thats good that its all sorted when order is placed.

I have ordered from woodpeckers, and when parcel arrived in uk i got a letter detailing the charges that needed to be paid when i picked up the item from the sorting centre, with customs charges, uk vat and plus some sort of handing fees etc its a good job i was sat down as i would have fallen over.

Could you post a link for the adaptor and let us know how good it is, seems very good and a good price also.

Yea I know what you mean, I was caught out before when I ordered a tripod and was hit with the custom charges  [eek]

Here's the adaptor I went for http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/371009569133?nav=SEARCH

I may be hit for customs on this as I bought it on eBay and wasn't charged for any, but maybe as it's such a small item custom charges aren't necessary. I don't really know how it works.

Adaptor look good in that its all in one piece and is swivelling, but i hope the end is what we in the uk refer to as 'euro' since there are various versions but look similar.

I must remind you that Schneider has no input air filter, unlike Senco
When working in dusty environments recommend doing it yourself, inside there is enough space for it.

You'll be ok customs wise with that adapter it's below the limit. The hose I just ordered came to £17 Inc delivery and there were no charges. The way Amazon US ships now is great you get all the fees at checkout so no surprises.

Anything below £15 in value mc luring shipping does not require you to pay import duties from outside of EU.

I think it's £20 as mine was £17.46 and I never got charged by Amazon

The difference between 90dB and 75dB is more than HUGE.

I used to run an old Senco compressor that was around 98dB and even when placed in an adjacent room it was a riot...  I now have the silenced version that is around 68dB and that is not a problem at all - even when placed right in the room where you are working.
I have an italian oil lubricated compressor which runs at around 40dB, or slightly less. It is directly underneath a sketching table in the, one meter from where I sit and you can hardly hear it. If you are talking to someone you simply don't register it.

Hi chaps, just got mine this morning but they have this type of coupler installed on the compressor:

... and I'd like to connect this little guy (the male part on the right of the image):

Did I miss something ? I'd like to avoid having to change all the couplers.

Schneider have these couplers:

--- EDIT ---

It works !!! But it's super hard to inserty and I had to push really hard into the compressor to lock the hose. Weird.

Hi guys,

Here are two video for you to look at.
The least I can say is...darn this compressor is loud.  [crying] [sad]

The Systainer is awesome, love the graphite color and bright yellow...but c'mon....the manual says Lwa sound power level @ 90 and Lpa4 sound pressure level at 4 meters distance @ 90.

I got these  infos at 1 meter distance (ok iPhone app so the measurements are not super accurate obviously)
