I was spending some time on craigslist sunday night and found a guy that had a table saw for sale in his ad there was a truck with festools in the back and it said table saw and other tools for sale. I called him yesterday asked about the festools he pauses then said o yah that stuff. I ask what do you have his reply " I have the middle size vacuum a little router and a big router o yah and a plainer" OK i don't need a vacuum but how much. he said o I don't know I paid like 400 each for the routers 500 for the plainer. Ok so how much do you want I ask he said I don't know how about $300 I say $300 for everything? he said Yep. I reply on my way. I get there he has everything in the drive way ready to go I look looks good here is the money. He says o you can have this also free a PS300. anybody know where I can see some pictures of a of 1400 in the systainer to see where everything goes.

Very cool

I have found a couple similar deals on CL in my area, just not on Festool stuff.  Congrats and enjoy

Nice find, you're one lucky SOB [tongue]

It may be worth you contacting Festool USA with the serial numbers - you'll be able to find out if they're still under warranty.

Hehe, I don't think luck is the word, I. Think this is equal or better than finding a pot of gold.

Does Festool track all serial number so that you can ensure this isn't hot property?

This topic has come up before and I believe the answer is no. It would be a nice thing and I know Hilti does.

I think they do to a point, I mean they know what tools I have by the serial number.
If I were to call them if I had stuff stolen, I would think they would look out for that sort of thing.

I thought I read somewhere that when you purchase a tool it gets registered by them.  Then if a tool comes in for service they compare it with the purchase record to see if it was stolen.  I read that within the last couple of days, but I don't remember in what post.

If you got all that stuff that cheap, it was probably stolen.  Selling it for that cheap is crazy!

I saw that too, I believe it was a mistake.

WOWOW... [eek]    in the tradition of many other WW forums and a serious deal...

YOU SUCK!    [big grin]

For those who were looking for the post about registering your tools:

One of the great things about registering you tools is that they record the serial numbers and maintain a database.  They will know what dealer sold it etc.  Also, IF I remember correctly, if the tools are stolen, you can notify them so that if the tool ever comes in for service...

I am going to have to say that this stuff was stolen as well. There is no way, even if he were really desperate, that he would sell 1200+ worth of tools for 300.

Yes, this sort of smells wrong . . . angle guide without a rail.  That doesn't make sense to me, but then again, the seller could of been an idiot.

let's not be bitter and make the guy feel bad for getting this stuff at a steal,  all of us wouldn't think twice if a deal like this would arise, i know i wouldn't.  ;D
Enjoy

Not to sound naive, but the seller may have just not know that resell value of the products.  25% of new street price isn't that uncommon for other brands of portable power tools.

Not stolden he had the receipts for all the tools he showed me he was just getting out of the business and storage was killing him he told me they have been in storage for the last eight months. I also just got an email from him CT22 $100 i think i will go get it tomorrow.
