Hello.

Came across this article/video from the Maker Fair.
It looks promising.
You attach your router to this base. The shape you want to cut gets imported to the base. The Shaper base has a screen so you can follow you line and it auto correct your errors.
Its like magic...

Saw a thing on Youtube where after the target was chosen it only fired when it was spot on.

Yes it is. I was blown away then I first saw this. I can see lots of potentials for cutting out shapes in flat stock. Don't know how useful it can be for something like dados.

Very interesting. I saw that on the video they were making shallow cuts in something like MDF. With deeper cuts in hardwood, I wonder if the tendency for the bit to pull into the wood could cause the z axis to retract the bit very often making for very slow progress.
