Seriously… Its time to check yourself

Personally, I would have better uses for $100 toward Festool products.  New blade for a TS55 and new Carvex blades for starters.

This is a major part of my retirement plan. Mine are NIB  [big grin]

Where's that Seth guy? He'll buy them.  [smile]

I can understand the desire but the working stiff in me just won't allow that kind of expenditure.

100% profit margin. Gotta love capitalism....

Pretty sure it's 50% profit margin, but 100% markup.

Either way, somebody is gonna make out OK!

This is definitely a WITNAINA item. No UL requirements, small, easy to ship, decent profit margin, and clear demand.

Ok, humor me: is this multi-tool any higher quality than offerings from Wera, Snap-On, Mac, etc? I'm trying to wrap my head around why they command such a high price.  Or is it just that they're badged with the Festool logo?

I have one... But I paid less than half of what they have on eBay for it. That is a crazy price!

When I took a graduate marketing class I learned that the definition of price is "Perceived Value".  It doesn't matter if it costs $1 to make or $1000.  If you people believe, or you can convince them to believe, that the item is worth $10,000 then that is what you can sell it for.

Time will tell if the Festool name can lead people to believe that $100 is a reasonable price.

Well, I bought mine for 19€ and don't really feel the quality of Festool in this. Nice compact combination of usable tools but...

I already broke two of the hex keys with tight bolts (the funny springy thing breaks off and now they are loose) and its royally irritating that the tools dont have locking positions like my Leatherman i.e. They swivel this way and that when in use.

Definitely not worth $100!

these things used to be a giveaway and that would give you a clue about the quality of the item

Nope. Not enough profit margin left.  [tongue]
