Server issues

[size=14pt]Over the past month I have been getting at least one of these massages every day. Curiously it is usually in the late evening down here when most of NA is asleep (apart from WOW). It is 6.05am in New York and 10.05 pm here.

10 mins ago I got this message yet again. Anyone else have this issue?

I have also been experiencing that.  I thought that it was just an issue with my laptop waking up.  Only about this time of the morning.

I have also been getting those messages thru last week.

When this happens all other website work normally.

If I wait a while they go away.

I have it too sometimes, but I never considered it an issue. If I try a few moments later the website loads normally.

Yep, here as well. I assumed the server was doing an update and I was the only one in NA who noticed so I didn't bother to comment...

The server does perform scheduled maintenance at about 5:30-6:00am Eastern. It's possible that may be a contributing factor. Do the image work fine after that time?

If not, can you send me a link to the offending thread/post?

In my case it wouldn't open the website at all and if it happens in a thread/post you cant refresh the home page.

Unfortunately I did not note the times that it happened on.

I've also noticed this, Started a couple of weeks ago. It only happens for me at about 10 pm our time, not seen it AM our time, I put it down to server update / maintenance or backups. I guess The web site has to do it's updates some time.

Glad to see that this is an international phenomenon, rather than an isolated one of the Untidy Shop's making.  [smile]

I've been getting the same here in Thailand the server busy and database message, the last time was yesterday 8 March at about 8:30am eastern time

Just got it again, but this time it was down for ~15 minutes...

I am up here in Shanghai for work and totally unable to access the site from the standard internet service, how ever if i use the company VPN software i can access it.
The screen i normally get is the one that says Apache 2 test page. I can only assume that the server is configured to reject any Chinese IP addresses.
Fortunately i will be back home Thursday so can enjoy easy access again

This is a recurring problem and disappointing for all, I am sure.  [eek] [mad]

I don't know about anyone else, but I did some carpentry. Siding replacement. 63* and sunny. Spring is in the air. Good to step away from the computers sometimes!
