Setting up both track saws for the same track

I was wondering if there is an easy way to adjust my ts55 to run on the same track that my ts75 runs on. I got the 75 first, then got the 55 later. The 55 blade cuts a little bit away from the rubber edge on the track creating a small amount of tear out. Is ther a way to move the 55 blade/saw closer to the track to match where my 75 cuts? I would appreciate any advise/tips. Thanks for reading this post.

Hallelujah Garry!  Thanks so much!  I wish I had time to read all the sup manuals.

If you have the TS-55R, set the other saws to it. The 55R does not have as much adjustment as the 55E and TS-75. I had to reset my other saws to the R when I go the R.

I just got a chance to read all your replies. I thank you all for taking the time to reply to my post. I read the link to page 12 in the sup manual. Very informative. Thanks Garry. I haven't had a chance to adjust the 55req to the 75 yet because I bought the 75 first. I'll see if there's enouph adjustment in the 55. If not, I guess I'll change the rubber on all 7 of my tracks, cut the 55req and adjust the 75 to it as per Toms advice. I'll post an update as I get to adjusting. Thanks again, Happy New year. Jay.

Ah, you have the REQ not the original TS 55. I should have asked following your first post. There is a specific Supplemental Manual for the TS 55REQ and the track matching is covered on page 22.

As tjbnwi mentions, the recommendation if you have the REQ is to match your other saws to it.

If this poses a problem because of the existing size of the strip, you can move the strip over a little and re-cut, or you can replace with a new strip.

Garry, thanks for the update. My mistake, I should have stated which "55" I had in my original post. Confidence is high! Hopefully get to it this weekend. This may seem like a lazy question, but where are you getting these suplimental manuals?          Thanks, Jay.

Thx Garry,

I have the TS 75 with I like using for thicker hard wood but I find it kind of big and bulky with minimal dust collection for small sheet good projects. I've been wanting to try the TS 55 REQ but I don't want double the rails laying around is the extra expense inst worth the hassle. This may push be to try and the 30day trial on 55 REQ.

Has anyone else experience positive results with aligning the 2 different saws on the same guide rails?

THanks and Cheers

I have 12 guide rails and 3 TS saws, the 55E, 55R and 75. The E and 75 were matched to all the rails, when I got the R I had to set the E and 75 to the R.

I used the R as the bench mark saw.

Make sure the rail is clamped, do not forget to get the toe set properly. Should be easy just setting the saw to the cut.

Rick (the author of the guides) beat me to it above, but you must have missed the link in my signature that takes you right to them all!  [wink] [poke]

Garry, many folks including me have opted to hide the signature on this forum.  Just mentioning it as an FYI.....

Didn't even know that was an option so thanks for the heads up!
