My table mounted router finally bit the dust today it has had a long hard life and paid for itself 100 times over, the home made cabinet it sits in has seen better days too and needs to be replaced also. I used it mainly for lots pattern cutting, raised panel doors and rounding over a lot of edges. I have never owned or used a shaper but i am considering a grizzly 1035 or 1026 to replace it (and the $500 or $900 price is pretty attractive since a good quality router table and router is not much cheaper, and do not have the time to construct a new table). cutter cost is not an issue . I do own a 1400 for out of table work. Any advice / opinions on either machines, learning curve or anything else you think i should consider.
