I have managed to break my Kapex saw and need to ship it to Festool for repairs, but I disposed of the box and packing foam years ago. Does anyone have advice/recommendations for an appropriate shipping container? My first solution is to build a wood shipping box, but I'm open to suggestions.
I've included a photo showing where the saw blade housing was broken when my work piece got sucked into the saw. My mistake not securing the piece better.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Continuation of the story. I contacted my favorite Festool dealer, Bob Mariano (http://www.bobmarinosbesttools.com/), told him of my woes, and several days later a very large box arrived on my doorstep. Inside was a Kapex shipping box with all the bits and pieces necessary to pack up the saw, plus packing instructions. A short while later one broken saw securely boxed and delivered to UPS for shipping to Festool's facility in Indiana, where it currently waits for repairs.
So thank you everyone for your advice, and to Bob for quickly solving my problem.
