Short changed on AS sleeved hose length?

As initially reported in this thread, it appears the "Sleeved hose in a SYS3" SKU is roughly 6" shorter than the 3.5m hose that came with my CT36. This is most unfortunate, since I intended to use this sleeved hose on my boom arm attachment, but the seemingly minor 6" difference makes this new cable incredibly frustrating to use... My tools are always just a couple inches away from my workpiece, requiring me to constantly reposition the vac to be right behind me the whole time. Since this seems to be a known issue, would Festool offer a swap-out for a true 3.5m AS hose?

Pics below - hardly scientific as I had trouble keeping them straight but you can visibly see the difference. Note the black cable is the AS hose included with the CT36, I just sleeved it myself.

First thing I would do is measure the length. It is possible the older hose is a bit longer due to use, I know I'm pulling on mine all the time.

I have that sleeved hose but have not measured it. I doubt it’s a mistake. Probably shortened the hose to suit the captive cord instead of producing a longer cord.

The cord on my sleeved hose is more than foot longer than the hose. That would be more 300 mm for those metric folk following along.  [big grin]
