Should have never gone into Woodcraft today

Had some time to kill at lunch so I went over to the local Woodcraft and before you know it, walked out with an accessory kit for a Carvex.  Don't know what came over me, kinda like a tidal wave and next thing I knew, I was signing the receipt!  [big grin]  It really is a pretty good value when you look at all that it includes.  The circle cutter and systainer by themselves just about pays for the entire kit.  I had to cut off some 4x4 posts yesterday and having the rail attachment would have been handy rather than free-handing them. I have to cut some quarter circles in some 2x8's so the circle cutter should make that a breeze.  Not so sure about the angle foot though.  Doesn't give you much of a surface to work off of.  Not like the Mafell angle foot.  Overall, the barrel grip Carvex takes a bit of time getting used to but after a while, you come to appreciate it more and more.

yep, it's like every time my kid goes into an Apple store!  [scared] [scared]  Or when the LOML goes to William-Sonoma. Ouch!  I thought she had EVERYTHING they have to sell!  Nope!  Always new items.  Kinda like Festool, isn't it?  [big grin]

The Domino systainers are a very good value compared to buying the contents separate. I still think it's strange they don't offer one with the hardwood dominos.

Perhaps that one falls in the same category as a OF-2200 style FS adapter for the OF 1400 instead of that wobbly 2" foot.

Ye this systainer was thrown in "free" with the XL. Although the XL was a little more expensive than I could get it elsewhere.

In total I paid £840 for it.

Freind of mine called me from a dealer show (where the rep shows up at my tool supplier and demos the new stuff). I asked him if my toolie came in yet so my sales guy got on the phone,

So now I own the CT wings, just sort of happened,

I don't go to the Festool shop much here in Copenhagen we have two places, but prices are always much higher than I like, so it's all internet shoppings fault when I buy on an impuls. My MFT 3 was more considered but came on the heals was mostly a need created of a rather impulsive buy of a TS 75.. shall we say a domino effect. And yes the Carvex accessory kit suddenly seems like a need.... But first there's that Quadrill PDC set XL that would be soooo needed....

At least the impuls buying of Festools leaves you with tools that can last you through many many years... They are safer to use too...

I just received a call from my local Woodcraft telling me that a back-ordered SysTainer is in.

Whenever I go there, I never leave the store without bringing home something new.  I have all week to convince myself, "no, noo, nooo".  I'll ask JR to hit me with the "No Stick" before we head down.  [embarassed]

Welllll, I m-m-m-m-madddde it.
I fought very hard as I roamed around he toy store.
With all my strong will power, I got the RO 150 sanding discs i needed, but felt myself weakening.
I was getting the shakes real bad, but managed to keep my equilibrium.  Before I collapsed, I was able to relieve the tension by picking out a contained of Titebond III.  Be fore I could get to thinking about all of the other toys, I managed to pay the bill and ran.  i was so distraught, I nearly forgot to open the door.

Well, I am home now but still shaking  from such herculean effort to avoid the slippery slope.  I am now heading down to the shop to at least make use of some of my old toys.  I hope that will help.
