should I buy everything separately or just get combo?

I know the t18 can replace chuck just like my cxs, but I noticed that the t18 E got a metal chuck which is a big plus for me, and the t 18 only got the replace plastic chuck(i know it's metal inside but still).
plus :
D18=299 ,D18E=259, this is not bad. But D18+2x4.0a batteries=649, D18E+2x4.0a =389,now this looks more like a deal for me because I need a track saw TSC55, a jigsaw PSC, and both TID18 and T18/T18E, so I need the batteries.

I ask this is because I am going into Festool and doing research all day, I am just a garage hobbyist, selling all my Dewalt tools after I got my cxs, going full Festool.

with my calculation, if I buy T18E with batteries, TID tool only, PSC tool only, TSC 55 tool only, I only paying 1752CAD , and getting more sys boxes I think. the combo kit with T18+TID18+PSC+TSC55 sales for 1949CAD, I do get extra two 5.2a batteries I know it's a good deal and I am getting T18 instead T18E but I think I might be good with only two batteries and the T18E's metal chuck might be even better.

what do you guys think? should I buy everything separately or just get the Pro finish pack combo kit?

IMHO, buy the kit unless you already have another D/D that uses the same batteries and you already have the Centrotec accessories with that to share. "Tool only" is for folks with the batteries and the basic kit is for those who want the new tool with some batteries but don't need or already have the Centrotec stuff. I honestly find it handy to have multiple of the accessories sometimes, depending on what I'm doing.

Correct; the T18-E (Easy) is a permanent chuck.  If you want to be able to toss on a right-angle or Centrotec in place of the Jacobs Chuck, you can't do that on the T18-E.

Someone recently posted the Festool Live video where they demonstrated the T-18E and talked about how it differs from the T-18/3.

That said, the T18-E kit is one of the better values as far as Tool + Batteries + Charger go if you don't need to swap out chucks and want a "cheaper" entry into the battery system.

The T18 with batteries is 200USD more than the T18E with batteries (499 vs 299).  Not sure what that translates to in CAD, but it would explain/eat up most of the cost difference between the two kits you listed.

The Pro Finish kit comes with Systainers for all of the tools, even though they're not in the pictures.  It then comes with the toolbox and a Sys1 for the accessories, plus the extra blades for the jigsaw.

I'm not here to help anyone spend money; I'm just pointing out some of the differences in what you get for the extra $200 between the two options you listed.  If you actually need all of the tools in the kit, it sounds like a pretty decent bundle deal for what you get.

Get the real  T18 (or C18),  Not the 'E'.  The interchangeable chucks are seriously worth having - right angle, eccentric, depth stop, Centrotec.

You can also get a metal chuck for the regular T18 (with FastFix connection)
This is the part number: 769065
I believe it is the same ROHM chuck as the T18E has, except it has the FF connection.

Totally agree with Seth.  I have the T18 with all available chucks.  I find each chuck quiet useful at different times.  Bigger investment but to me it has been worth it in the long run.

Ok, I am pretty sure I’m getting the pro finish pack for 1950 which includes the jig saw d/d and tax 55with no track. Then I found I have to spend another 2000 for the mft table with track and midi vac to get everything going even if I want just some basic cut.  And plus 13% tax here in Canada. I was planning to spend 3000 to get everything started but I guess it’s no chance
