Should my ETS 150/3 be jumpy/bouncey like this?

Have only had this since end of May. Hasn't gotten as much use as I would have liked in that time frame but have several projects planned and will get much more use

Sanding a cutting board for a friend and it feels jumpy to me. It's always kinda felt like like this but assumed it was because I was using a shop vac for dust extraction instead of an actual dust extractor.  We'll I bought a CT26 this Xmas and it still feels jumpy even with the flow rate turned low.

Here is a video link showing current use:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1I-kuNnKPTdF8oUbT-SuBMGEchNLiGYJ-/view?usp=drivesdk

This is with 80 grit paper.

Thank you.

Looks like your pad might be out of balance. Do you have another to swap in?

I actually replaced it from a soft pad to a hard one already. Did the same thing with the soft pad lol

It also might be that your sandpaper might be off center on the pad. Looks like there might be some of the paper hanging off the pad on some of the edge. Try re-attaching the paper and keeping all of it on the disk without putting it off center.

IF that doesn't help, a new pad might be in orger.

Try changing your grip by cupping the palm of your hand over the front knob-like handle.  It appears your present grip is off balance towards the rear causing the disk to dig in and the sander to skate.  Use as little downward force as possible. I can hold my sander by the hose, steering it and let the sander float.
