Show unread posts does not work reliably.

I have tried using the "Show unread posts since last visit" link at the top of the pages on several occasions.  It works at times.  But just as often it fails to show any unread posts.  When there are no unread posts, I click on a forum, and several of the threads will show the "New" label.  I am using IE7.  Am I doing something wrong?  I suspect a forum software bug, since it works at times.  Thanks.

Dave,

The link "Show unread posts since last visit" has work perfectly once I discovered to click on the high lighted word "new"

Just Lucky?  Not sure, but I do like that feature.

Jim - I agree that the "New" button on the individual threads is helpful.  Maybe I don't understand the two "Show..." links at the top of the screen.  Today clicking on "Show unread..." resulted in two new posts since my last visit.  When I went to the specific forums there were lots more than two new posts.  Hmmm.

I have the same problem.  Sometimes I get one or two new posts, but I've never gotten all the new posts since my last visit.  So far, digging around looking for the "new" label has been pretty reasonable.

Dave,

I have the exact same problem.  I've taken to looking at the most recent posts date, but I spend a lot of time looking at things repeatedly trying to find the newest posts.

At first the 'unread posts' button always returned without any entries.  Lately, however, this feature seems to work about half the time.  Wonder how their code reads...  Most reliable method for me has been to one-by-one open each category with new posts and then open the first 'new' topic (in blue) for a category and procede thru using the 'next' button at the bottom of the page.  This works well most all of the time.  But, then there are those few other times when the 'next' button leads you astray.

But, SMALL POTATOES!  This sure beats the software on the old site!!!
