For those that use a board to list their projects. White board, green board, cork board, magnetic board. What do you use?

I use the Note Everything app on my Android phone.

You can have multiple notes running of many types. I use a recurring checklist for many of my notes or project material lists. As I acquire the piece parts or materials I need I can check them off. You can add photos, audio, screenshots from your phone, all sorts of lists and notes can be created.

And you can share those notes with others via email, SMS, FB, and others. You can set reminders by date/time. Unfortunately you can't do location-based reminders. This would give you an alert say when you are within x number of miles of your favorite lumberyard, or local Festool dealer. Now that could be handy, or troublesome depending on how you look at it.

I found it tough to drag a whiteboard around with me.

Keeping a list of to-do projects in the shop...that's depressing, Mario.

I try not to remind myself of how many projects I want to do, but have yet to find time for the planning, let alone for stock prep.

I do have a folder on my laptop that contains project ideas.... [big grin]

I want a board to reminds me my priorities with shop projects. I have so many like that miter gauge extension, a table for the drill press, a tray holder for the drill press etc..

We are in the depression season after all no?  [tongue]

I use a magnetic chalkboard that I custom made for the side of the fridge to track groceries and other items from Menards, Home Depot, Woodcraft, Target et al.

I have cabinets in my shop office. The panels in the doors of the cabinets are magnetic white dry erase board.

I use the Evernote app on my android phone. one "note" per project and you can clip things off the web (ideas/inspriations for projects), put in material/todo lists, etc. It all goes in a "notebook" for the workshop. I have a similar one for the house. There's also a kind of master list for each notebook where i can jot down ideas/projects before making a full blown note... and basic lists for groceries, chores, errands, etc

About 25 shop project and 8 for the house alone.

Sounds like you need to contract out some of your work...(but you still won't catch up since lists have their own lives [tongue] [tongue] [tongue]). [big grin]

I got tired of trying to keep stuff in my head or looking for the notepad I wrote dimensions down on. I put this up after taking a Festool training class where Greg Paolini used one. It's been a huge help for me. I only use it for the current project I'm working on. I like checking stuff off as I go.

Another option might be to use Outlook to put your projects on a calendar. Give them start dates and guesstimates as to finish or must complete by dates. If you want to budget time to multiple projects in a day enter them as recurring meetings. You could make them every day, every other day, whatever and put in as many hours as you want. Lots of flexibility with MS-Office.

I found Dashboard Widget, a Todo list app free

I installed a new door to the workshop a weekend or so ago. The old door had a solid face, and I used this to hold a pin board. The new door has a glass panel for extra light ... much needed ..

The blind is fitted between two panes of glass, where it does not collect any dust.

The pin board is now attached at the lower end - this is the only available surface ...

Derek, I see some wall cabinet doors in the upper left corner of your photo that look inviting.

Maybe a corkboard on one and a white board on the other.

My shop door is metal clad so I use it as a place to stick things too, but I also
have a whiteboard and cork board nearby next to the fastener cabinet.

If you have a google account, you can use 'google keep', its great for maintaining a notes system. Has tick box, you can add URL's, pictures
