Show your clamp racks please.

We use 2 rolling racks, one holds clamps on both sides, theother is clamps on one side, TSO Products on the other side.

We also have 2 plastic totes with 300 2" opening springs clamps in each of them. We use them for lock mitered corners.

I made a version of Norm Abrams rolling clamp rack a few years ago.  I don't have the luxury of wall space for clamps and I love the ability to move it around the shop!

I've also made a couple small clamp racks in my van to make it easy to retrieve my most frequently used clamps without getting back in the van.  I've found that I like the Bessy clamps better than the Festool ones for clamping my rails to the workpiece so I keep them with the rails ;D.

Thanks all that continue to add to this thread. Much appreciated.
I really like the clamp rack carts, but I have more wall places than floor places

Here's my solution:

Notice some empty slots. Probably should get some more.....

Pretty straightforward. All made from scraps of 3/4 ply:

At first look (top photo), I thought your ceiling clamp storage was actually a wall storage...until I noticed those "floating" mallets/hammers(?). [big grin]

Some clamp storage I've been building in the last couple weeks for the small french cleat corner of the garage. The clamp racks are pretty similar to what others have posted but I added some small tabs to the front of the racks. I have limited space and tend to bump into them often so I'm hoping the tabs will assist in keeping them in the rack and not falling on my head.

The racks are all about 300mm deep. The larger racks are ~300mm tall while the smaller racks are about ~100mm tall.

That's a good looking set-up you have going there 4nthony.

Thanks. My previous clamp organization was hanging them off the fire blocking in the walls or placing them in a couple 5 gallon buckets and leaning them into a corner. It's nice to finally have some organization. Wish I could say the same about the rest of the garage! Shops are always a work in progress, right?

Absolutely. I'm sort of in the planning stages of some rearrangement of mine right now. I think I'm going to add some more parallel clamps horizontally, around the base of my main assembly table.

You have a pretty good collection of Woodpeckers squares in there too.

Yeah...those squares are somewhat of an addiction.  [embarassed]

The 2616 has been really useful on larger projects. Also, I find that I use it more than the track square to align my guide rails.

I wrote a long detailed description of this but it did not post so here are pictures

My clamp rack evolved from a mobile sheet good lumber cart made from one 5x5' piece of 3/4" Baltic birch plywood. Sheet goods are on the front (along with a bunch of other wood), and clamps on the back. Not shown stored here are pipe clamps which are currently in use. In addition there's storage for Festool rails in several pockets on the end of the rack.

[member=3346]dwillis[/member] Do you notice any instability if there aren't many sheet goods on the one side? It appears that the clamp-side of the battered plywood is vertical. Do the clamps throw off the center of gravity enough to make it tough to roll around the shop?

Otherwise, this is a very clever combination and something that will work well in my small shop. Thanks for posting!
