Show your systainer

I got my Sys-Aid kit from Systainer.store set up. I 3D printed these red bins for it, and some are in odd sizes that Bott doesn't make, so the contents fit exactly.

That is excellent. I hope you never need to use it.  :)

Yeah, that's a lot of work for a tool you hope to never use. Looks great though.

Here is my version of the battery systainer. Fits more and it’s a size smaller compared to Festool’s

Yes, the Festool one is primarily a Systainer full of foam.

But yours is the other extreme with batteries bumping into each other if transported roughly.

I set up my Domino and tenons in some new Systainer 3s, and out of their old and creaky original Systainers. The organizer Systainer will also be nice since I can grab a bin instead of grabbing a handful of loose tenons when working. This is another instance where custom sized 3d printed bins are very nice, I can almost evenly divide the organizer into six by using odd sized bins.

Very nice!

Do you know that the newer Assorments come with bins you can take out?
Like this;

The same with Sys^3, but then with more foam inside..

That would be nicer; I have the bags tucked into the original assortment box so I can either grab a handful or just pull the bag out. Not having the bag would be nice. May have to do like Jack and print up some bins for the original

I also keep mine in bags in the systainer and I put desiccant bags in ones that have been opened.

I always keep my Domino tenons in Zip-lock bags, to keep them from swelling in the humid air.

I had to google that... interesting... sounds like a non-Arizona thing

With our heat and dry air, any spray finish can be an impromptu sand blaster if you spray a little too far away

Some time ago I asked elsewhere on the forum if anyone had already gone through the trouble of making inner-footprint drawings for the new sys3’s, and *poof*, there they are.

Unfortunately they’re missing measurements, so if you could give some basic sizes (i.e. the total width in between the parallel sides), then I could trace these drawings and deduct the other sizes.

In what state is that?

I have yet to notice any Domino swelling, and the Netherlands isn't anywhere near a dry country. I keep them in an unheated detached garage. Although not the kind that sucks moisture out the ground like most backyard storage buildings in this country.

Yes, although I'm already stocked up pretty well on Dominos, if I could just get that as an empty systainer I would have thought about it. But buying an empty organizer for $65 USD and then printing my own inserts is a lot cheaper.

I'm keeping the old classic systainer for bulk storage, and then refilling the organizer when needed.

I'm nearly in the center of the state of Ohio. The humidity can get well over 90% for days at a time, in the spring/summer. I have never actually had problems with Dominos, it's just a carry-over precaution from the days of biscuits. I did have that problem with them, so it seemed like a good idea, certainly can't hurt anything. That's how I learned of the microwave technique for shrinking them back, then storing them better.

Yeah, I expected as much from you  [big grin] It's as dry as popcorn there. It doesn't get that dry here until mid-winter when the furnace has been running a while.
There's another word you are going to have to google..... [huh]
You can probably get away with some cross-grain glue-ups that would never have issues too, but you can't do that here either.

You can get that Domino Systainer empty, at least last time I checked (in Europe). But full with dominos and set of cutters is a nice set discount.

It definitely is good way to go, way better than buying it all individually. It's not quite as good as the cleaning set to get the 36mm hose, but surely worth it.

I’m with you CrazyRaceyGuy (haha) I’m just a hop skip East of you NY and I use the zip lock bags with my dominos …the humidity does effect  them

Well yeah the cleaning set is definitely a loophole  [tongue]
