Show your systainer

Hi -

After being inspired by this thread, and collecting a bunch of images that customers have sent in to me, I've built a web site to share off various systainer fitouts.  The site is called Systainer.Works.  I know the community really appreciates seeing how others use their systainers.  If you would like to contribute to Systainer Works, simply fill out this form and I'd be happy to help you out with a discount on a future order (for those that are USA based).

Does that offer apply to mini Systainers too?
I have a couple of Shaper Systainers with routed foam inserts that I could share, but one is a mini.

Yes, all Systainers, of all types, brands, generation and sizes are welcomed.  Just like this thread where we post from the mundane to the elaborate.  The Tanos, Festool or other OEM brands.  You bet.  Thank you for being willing to share.

DeWalt DCS334 jigsaw and DCF787 impact driver in a Sys II DF. Blades and bits in the attic (blades secured with adhesive magnetic strips). I used Shadowfoam from Shadowfoam UK.

Really pleased with how this turned out.

Again not a Systainer, but couldn't get this to fit easily in a Systainer while it did fit the L-Boxx. It is an L-boxx 238 G4 with three 18V lights; two Bosch GLI 18v-2200 C, one GLI 18-1200 C, one 16A charger (GAL 18v-160 C). The dark foam comes from a cut-up inlay from a Panasonic Systainer. It is fitted to the L-boxx with clear Polymax..., already holds for > a year. All the lights have the "new" lid that is compatible with the 8 Ah batteries. The single charger can keep up with all lights running at max. All three lights and the charger can be controlled by Bluetooth. The compartment on the right holds an additional 4 Ah Procore battery. I can stuff in one more around the area of the cord of the charger.
I didn't need the fast charger, but this one can be set to charge to 50% or 80%, to decrease battery degradation when batteries are stored for longer periods.

The pointy faces of the GLI 18v-2200's do scratch the front and back wall of the L-boxx. Maybe I will add some kind of tape there.

Bosch doesn't sell L-Boxxes with official inlay for their 18V lights, Festool does sell their lights in Systainer. So because I have Bosch for 18V tools, I had to make my own  [tongue]

Does anyone have a good solution for a systainer setup to house the CXS 12 and the 18 with the necessary accessories etc? The one that comes with the 12 seems to be a lot of wasted space inside. The original CXS systainer was much more compact. I was thinking it would be cool to have both the 12 and the 18, a few batteries and just the accessories etc.

That seems like a lot to try to fit into a Systainer? especially with 2 different voltages. The charger is going to be the biggest problem as far as space.

I don't think I need the charger is the thing. Bring a few batteries why would you need to charge. Or I would bring a separate systainer with batteries and a couple chargers. They use the same accessories / heads.

In support of wo Mack’s opinion, I keep eight Festool batteries in a sys I, do the same with Metabo, five Milwaukee 18vs are attached the my side door bulkhead of my Transit, my 12v Milwaukees live with batteries in separate mini IIIs.

If you are carrying another Systainer anyway, what is the point of both drills in the same one? Just have one, with all of the accessories in it, and the second one with the other voltage drill and fill the rest of the space with batteries.

I thought the point was to all fit into one, sorry.

It's probably carrying the one with the drills and housing the other in the van.

When I go help friends for one room of drywall I don't bring a charger either.

Exactly. Just don't usually even need to bring chargers for drills. Just an extra battery.

This guy had the same idea:

I was just wanting to see on systainer with the CSX 12 and 18 with one extra battery each and all the accessories if anyone had done that.

That is like 50% foam  [blink]
Is it a tool or is it an art collection...

Thought the same.. It looks good, but once you shall bring along something extra, and really NEED the charger for backup - it’s back to another systainer or else for that matter.
The space where the charger goes are actually a good space for extras for the drill if you leave the charger behind, or have the charger with another tool..

Finally found the time to start organizing my hardware! (I modeled and 3d printed my own bins because none of the models out there had all the features I wanted, I'm expecting to color code everything moving forward.)

I look at these sorts of things and think how on earth can they afford to waste so much space? I cram everything into a dense puzzle for pretty much everything as space is such a premium for me, and I do like to keep as much of a range of consumables on hand all the time which means loads of bolts, sandpaper, router bits, etc, etc.

It does of course mean I need to have a pic of how some oddly shaped items are packed as getting them back in can be problematic! ;-)

I’d go with the latter. Along with the piles of top-quality hardware, none of which looks like it’s ever been used.
