Simple Q - what vac attachment is best for general cleanup?

Hi-

I have the CT22, and now the 'installer kit' and a brush nozzle. I like the vac, like the installer kit tools, but I still feel like I'm missing a 'general purpose' nozzle attachment for vaccuuming up the workbench, table saw, nooks and crannies, etc etc.

When I used my traditional-style shop vac, this attachment was on it about 95% of the time for all my 'general cleanup tasks':http://www.shopvac.com/detail.asp?id=213
(yes I know it says its a blower attachment, but it was the perfect size - half way between crevice tool and the wide floor thingy).

Which festool accessory works best for general tasks?

No Festool accessory other than what you already have that I can suggest but can you still use your shop vac hose with the CT22?  I still use a shop vac hose with a CT22 when using my oscillating spindle sander.  The shop vac hose accessory end fits the sander perfectly and the vacuum end fits the CT22 perfectly.

I have the CT-22 also.
I would recommend the Curved hand tube Polypropylene (PP), D 1 7/16", D 36 HR-K  Item # 452901 (price $14.50).
It fits both the 27 mm as well as the 36mm tubes.
This nozzle can also fit inside the dust chute of my TS-75, which has been a handy feature at times.
I would also like to recommend the Y- piece adapter with blanking plug and a 36 mm hose.
These 3 items have really made a big difference to me.

It is pictured on the inside of my systainer that contains the 'installer cleaning kit'.

it looks like just the ticket, but its not to be found on any US festool site, and the british price is quite high...even for festool...

Anyone know what this attachment is meant for and why the lofty price?

While I use a Fein vac, I use it with a Festool hose (small diameter, non-antistatic).  I find that the attachments from our household Meile vac fit just fine.  I use a medium-wide brush for the floor, and a narrower brush (probably intended for upholstery) for my benchtop and general above-floor cleaning.  These attachments should be available from any Meile vac dealer.  Oh, and I also use a round brush with longer bristles.
