Hey everyone,

I have mini Festool Extractor for using with my Festoons. Now I want one to use for general use in my home shop just to cleanup sawdust from the floor. Additionally, I would like to use it for my CNC router when I am running it to pull sawdust from my work piece. I have considered purchasing a "used" Festool like a 26 or 33, 36, etc., or I could purchase a new one. Am I looking for the right Festool vac? The mini just would fill up to quick.

Thanks.

If you already have a mini, then I would probably get the CT48. You don't have to empty as often especially with the CNC.

Spend your money on the Onieda Festool Dust Deputy.  Then you do not need an additional dust extractor.  I use four Oniedas, three Feins, a  CT midi and a CT 26.  It will not fit on top of the Mini well although mine is on my Midi, but does not need to installed there.

I agree, "spend your money on the Onieda Festool Dust Deputy" why would you want to buy more bags???

I am interested in Festool as I own several Festool products. That is why I am asking if anyone is aware of a ct33?

Secondly, if I go with the Onieda would I just use it in conjunction with my Festool Mini or should I get another Festool extractor and the Onieda?

Thanks.

Most of the CTs have the same suctions, so you choose based upon bag size. Or you add the Oneida as a chip collector for the CNC.

Or if you are being mobile, then the Midi or Ct26 are easier to move than a larger unit.

Basically all the vacuums suck, and if they all have HEPA then they all do the same thing. Most have an auto start.

Got it, so I am thinking maybe something around the Festool 26 with the Onieda chip collector on top. That should do the trick in my home shop.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah...

The Onieda reduces the flow somewhat.
For sanding many reduce the flow anyhow, and the sanding dust does not what the Dust Deputy does... It is more for chips.

Whether it adversely affects the dust collection or not depends on the how well the CNC's dust shroud works.
But you would manly use teh Dust Deputy for the CNC, so it would likely be parked there.

I did not know this. Thanks for the information. I am assuming I can use the setup as a floor vac in my shop as well?

With my CT26 I got plastic wands and floor attachments (wet-squeege, dry).
I have not used the steel version, but if you do not get the plastic for free then...
I use it a lot for the floor.
