Does anyone know if Festool offers an assortment of SIPO tenons?  I don't need hundreds of one size and would like to have a few in different sizes.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
[welcome] to the FOG!  Festool did at one time offer an assortment (part number M0076).

It contained 20 to 40 dominoes in each of 5 different sizes.  You might want to check with your favorite dealer to see if they still have any.

Mark,

Welcome to the forum. We offer a promotional assortment of SIPO tenons a couple of years ago, Product #M0076. An internet search may yield some results with dealers that still have them in stock.

Currently, there is no assortment available.

Dang it, Peter. You just beat me to responding...  [tongue]

Shane

Thank you.  I'll look and see if I can find them.

And thanks for such a quick response!

I went looking on several websites and found that some dealers still have them.  Go to your favorite search engine and type Festool m0076 in the search box.

Peter

Did a web search without luck.  I see tool-home.com has them.  Buying from them is blocked at work (not sure why) so I'll order them later.

Thanks again!

Mark, you asked about it first, so if you still need them from Tom, go ahead and order them.

If not, Tom, please save them for my next order.  Thanks.

I do see at least two other online dealers that show these on their websites. Again, just a quick web search should help you find them.

I should note these were a promo in 2008. So, I suspect inventory is very, very limited amongst dealers who still have them.

Ok, it seems like these are harder to come by that I would have hoped.  Woud any of you please list where you found them?

Tom - were you saying you already sold them?  If not I will place the order when I get home.  I cannot do it from my computer at work.

Maybe one of you can recommend the best size to buy?  I just bought the Domino, haven't even used it yet.  I'm most likely going to be joining 3/4" boards together of varying widths and in most cases end grain to face.

For 3/4" joins, you should use 6mm. The rule of thumb is 1/3 for the Dominio.

Tom

agreed, 1/3rd rule for domino's and tenons in general.

i do think you will be surprised at how fast the domino's go out, i bought a box of 100, 8x50 dominos 2 weeks ago along with my domino tool, thinking those should last a while.
but now two weeks, and two furniture pieces later the box is practically empty!

if you only need a small number, it is always possible to make your own, given that you own a planer and a router table.

I have a SIPO assortment that my dealer made up for me that, unlike the M0076 set, includes the Domino Systainer.  Let me know if you are interested.

I am interested.  Can you send me some details?  # of dominos, systainer size, what you are asking?
