Sleeved Centrotec bitholder

I've never seen what you're asking for.  Alternatively, you can use the DeWalt unit in the standard drill chuck that comes with the CXS.

Another option is to grind/file the extra groove into the Dewalt bit holder to "centrotec" it.

There are a couple thread on here showing how to do this.

Some of these standard 1/4" quick release shanks do fit in the centrotec chuck, they just don't lock, but there will be a friction fit..  But some don't fit at all without filing down the edges a hair.  So it's kind of hit or miss with other brands, but if you don't need it to lock and you don't want to mod it, that may be an option if you can find a store that has a few available to try on your centrotec.

That is what I did. It works.

One thing to watch out for when "centrotecing" a bit.  I did a countersink / counterbore bit and though there was enough room on the shaft to add the groove, there was not enough additional space between the added groove and the counter sink portion to allow the bit to be inserted into the Centrotec chuck far enough to engage. Not sure but that could be problem with "centrotecing" the sleeved bit.

[doh]  Nope doesn't work. 1/4" hex bit is 1/4" across the flats. Too big.

hex head, round hole  [doh] [doh] [doh] good catch [member=1619]SRSemenza[/member]

[member=63837]koenbro[/member] Snappy has adapters from 1/8" (round) bits up to 3/8" each with +/- 0.01" clearance for setting. Take your favorite mag holder and check the diagonal.
