Small cabinets with drawers

Finally wrapping these up!  I threw in a Festool shot to keep it on topic.  Veneer is from Certainly Wood, plywood is from a local supplier, and the pulls are from Etsy.  Finished with wipe-on poly and wax.  Thanks for looking

How did you attach the veneer - vacuum bag or other technique?

Did you also veneer the cabinet carcass or just the drawer fronts?

Thank you   The carcass is walnut ply, although in retrospect, I should have veneered them myself--I think I could have done better.  I wanted to try some off-the-shelf ply though, to see how it would turn out.  Everything is a learning opportunity for me

I used a bag for the drawers.  I've used cauls in the past, but the bag is so much easier!

What is the veneer on the drawer fronts?

Thanks for the kind remarks   The veneer is butternut.  My first time using it, but I think it's a nice compliment to walnut, and the straight grain suits my tastes.  I only had to nip off a little triangle to get it really straight.  Maybe a little too soft for tabletops, though...

[member=71502]Precision Dogs[/member] good question on the feet.  I simply made a hardwood "X", attached the feet to the ends of the cross with dominos, and screwed the assembly to the bottom of the cabinet.  Sturdy, and easier to finish, since they're removable.

These are very, very nice.  The mid century vibe is what I want to do with my projects so always looking for excellent inspiration.  These tables are beautiful. 

Can you elaborate more on the bag system? I can tell its some kind of vacuum sealing unit but wondering if its home made or a product for purchase.

Thanks!  I like midmod too, and I'm always trying to emulate it, so I'm glad the influence shows.

The vacuum setup is from Vac-U-Clamp, although it looks like they only do industrial-size stuff now.  I think other suppliers have similar products (e.g. VacuPress), and apparently a lot of people have built their own.  BTW, I got a huge bag, and it's great when I need it, and unwieldy when I don't.  I've been thinking about getting a second, smaller bag for these kind of projects.
