What would make a good Festool Christmas present, weighing in at ?100 or less? Systainers? Accessories?

Ian,

If the gift is for you, I see that you have the OF1400 router.  Router bits are always good.  Another option might be the guide stop for your router which would allow you use your router to make rabbets and dadoes in conjunction with your guide rail.  I am assuming you have a guide rail.

If the gift isn't for you :) I'm guessing a Systainer is a good/bad idea.  Some people don't seem to use them at all, others love them, give them pet names.

You're in England so this may not apply, but McFeely's has a 12-drawer sortainer filled with 1,300 screws.  That's always useful especially since they are premium screws.  I don't know how much making such a set would cost you on that side of the pond.

Otherwise, I think it can be tough to buy tools at all for somebody unless they've specifically dropped a hint of what they want.  That sortainer screw assortment isn't something someone would ask for, but I'm always surprised how often I use it.

Yeh it's for me. My old pappy wants to get me something and he suggested tools.

I just got a couple of guide rails yesterday in fact. I'm well stocked up on screws at the mo. And I think I may already have the guide rail attachment for the OF1400. Unless you're speaking of a different accessory. The fine adjusting adapter I think it's called.

Anyone used that upside down bench attachment jobby for the EHL65? Or the (dare I say it) Trend lock jig? Might just ask him to pick up a router bit systainer.
