Small kitchen build, lots of pics.

jimbouk - face frame is flush on the inside with the sides and the base, I don't like it when it is over hanging on the inside as it's too easy for stuff to catch it when getting stuff in and out.  Do mean join between the FF and carcass? Cabinet laid on it's back and i hold it firmly while i pocket hole screw it starting from the corners, with a little glue.  Looks great when the FF is butted up to the carcass, especially when it's lacquered birch.  I know some folk domino FF onto carcass and pocket hole because of FF moving, but i don't seem to get this issue, just hold it tight.  Naturally there is a gap between the carcasses, on the base the worktop covers it and on the wall cabs i lacquer up some 4mm mdf the same colour and fix it to the underside of the wall cabs (under cloak), hides any gaps and the sparky can attach lights to this.

smiley99er - very common over here for 3/4 carcasses in both ply and mcf.  Cabinets over 800mm wide i always put in a centre leg.  I much prefer to use birch but not always in folks budget.

I watched your video.
Is that the eBay gun you are using or did you get another part for the ST1 that broke?
Tim

That was my eBay gun, buts identical in every way. New part came from Morrells and I fitted it I about two minutes. Very easy to do. I noticed Duluxs are selling same machine and gun, but don't know how much.
Haven't tried gun with new part yet, but don't anticipate any issues. I'll let you know.

Morrells own brand ST1, 3 stage turbine unit. I know Dulux sell one the same as well. Very happy with it.

Great post. I was wondering if you could shed a little more light on your spraying equipment. Are you using all W/B products I am not ofay with spraying so excuse my crudeness. Is it a hvlp or airless ?
How long did it take to prime and finish the doors in this post and how do you find spraying directly in the shop where you create dust. I am assuming you don't have any issues as the finish looks great.

Also does it take long to mix the paint or do you just use straight out of the pot? And do you just use water to clean it out?

I only ask the question as I find it a nightmare atm to get anyone to spray what I make without charging a fortune, so looking at getting something setup to facilitate my plight.

Thankyou in advance.

Is your MDF Moisture resistant also? As using water based paint?

I've been using Travis perkins MR MDF but it still furs up even with zinsser bin primer so going to try out medite MR MDF with w/b morrells next.

Nice work, the kitchen looks great! I'm sure your clients must be very happy. I'm thinking of making my own kitchen cabinets. I like the way you've used the dominos and Kreg screws to construct your cabinets. If you're doing anymore like these in the near future, think you'd be up for making a video demonstrating your method of construction?
Thanks for the posting.
