May seem obvious but.

To those who have an MFT or CMS GE. When folding the legs up or down place the unit on its side to loosen and tighten the locking knobs. Much easier than putting the ends down and trying to lock or loosen one set of legs at a time.

I think I have done it both ways in the past but I watched a set up video on the CMS GE and it dawned on me how much easier working from the side position is.

Yes, that's how I set up and take down my MFT's.

Something else I've noticed on site and on videos etc, users just put the tables on their side, often on concrete or screed floors, without protecting the side rails???
I have a couple of strips of timber that I put down, then rest the long edge of the MFT's on these, to enable me to unfold the legs, and the same when packing away.
I also have two timber blocks that slide into and lock on the short end edge of the tables, to protect the rails when stored.

I have seen a few tables, so beaten up, that I'd imagine the clamps for the guide rail, or other accessories, could no longer be fitted.

Anybody else notice this?

More Tips

When using the Carvex- remove the base when you want to switch blades with the splinter guard inserted. This allows you to release the blade and insert the new blade. You can then reinstall the base with the splinter guard already in place.

MFT - if you want to drill holes in something and you want to clamp it on the MFT and not drill into your top.  Use 2 clamping elements without the dogs to align the spot you want to drill with a dog hole.
