Im looking hard at the MFS 700 and a OF1400.

I would really consider the MFS!  I recently acquired one & I really like it. There are many creative uses beyond just a rectangle!  If you're going to be doing any arcing...no brainer!

Which one do you recommend getting? There are 2 400 and 700 they are about 200 bucks difference between the 2.  was thinking the 700 coz its easier to adj it smaller then try to stretch it :>D

I'd say it all depends on what you intend to use it for.  I know it seems more practical to get the bigger set so it can do the bigger stuff and the smaller but it is a bit unwieldy for smaller tasks.  I'd suggest you thik about the smaller 400 set if you intend to use it mostly on smaller routing tasks and add the 700mm profiles if you decide you need a bigger setup.  I find I use the 400 set ten to one over the 700.

Brice, or any MFS expert, is the 30mm copy ring the most common size or do you suggest getting the 4 different ones for that little disk that rides inside the profile?  I seem to recall that the 30mm was a common size, but cannot remember the specifics.

Spot on.  Just pick up the extensions if you find yourself needing to take on larger projects.  It's a hulker in the bigger size.  Unwieldy, as Brice said.

Scot, 30mm is what I'd recommend since it's an easy number to do the math with and it also the size you need for the insert for cutting circles.
